Testimonials
Barry Lefsky genuinely likes computers, is knowledgeable about them, and is quite organized. Beyond simply responding to events, he initiated a number of projects. He tamed the overflowing hardware cabinet and software drawers, determining what was essential after years of accumulation, organizing it and disposing of the rest, either with someone who could use it or to the trash. (Not only could we more easily find needed software, the company got a better sense of what it really possessed.) He used our DAT backup the way it was intended by covering all the computers, not just servers, and by creating a script to automate the task. He created quicksheets, a single source of information to refer to on various topics as opposed to working from memory or looking in different places. These were a natural offshoot of his tendency to keep detailed tables and charts of things for easier reference and planning. Robert Benjamin, Attorney’s Briefcase
Before Barry Lefsky arrived, our creative departments experienced significant computer system failures that undermined our productivity. Technical support and system procedures were non-existent. Barry jumped right in and attacked our most pressing problems. He developed procedures to help us better manage our computer infrastructure, including a tracking system to record system information and maintenance on each computer. He created an archiving system, and added RAM to computers. He budgeted his time to provide coverage for two locations, and used remote control software to resolve issues when he couldn’t be there. His quick response to problems significantly decreased the downtime we experienced. I am very pleased with Barry’s knowledge, responsiveness, and initiative. When Barry Lefsky joined us, most of our Macs were having serious problems – computers crashing, printing errors, and an unreliable network. He addressed every one of these issues and created a system to keep track of computers, software, and maintenance. Barry Lefsky has a lot to offer and would be an asset to any organization. Bonnie Silverman, Supervisor, Creative Center Design Group, Chevron Business Products & Services
Barry Lefsky used his advanced troubleshooting skills to keep my computers working, and solved problems that otherwise could have been disasters. He impressed me with his ability to explain complex concepts in terms I understood so I could make informed decisions. When I wanted to buy a used computer for my office, he located the model I wanted at a good price. Linda Brandon, Owner, Linda Brandon Design
Barry Lefsky has often provided services to my company over the past eight years. As I know he’s highly organized, I offered him a contract position to help me find a new employee. Not only did he design an effective system to fill the position, he wrote the best classified ad I’ve ever used. He posted the ad online and at some local colleges, then determined who to call from the more than 120 resumes we received. He updated interview questions and tests to identify candidate skills, choosing only the best candidates for me to interview. Odette Pollar, President, Smart Ways to Work
Barry Lefsky showed me how to spend less money without reducing quality. He convinced me that you can save money if you are organized, whether by shopping for the best buy or buying in bulk to save time and money. I was able to save thousands of dollars in the past six months just from following some of his suggestions. As an instructor, I found him to be informative and concise. For example, he reduced the assessment of a job offer to three questions, which helped me considerably. Dini Chandra, PR Director, ProSearch
