About Me
Barry

I graduated from City College of New York with a B.A. in Communications. I have taken nine classes in real estate at Merritt College (eight of them with As), taught by people working in the field, plus dozens of shorter workshops on financing, foreclosures, contracts, marketing, and more. I recently passed the broker exam on my first try.

I spent years as a typographer in New York and in Boston, creating everything from newsletters to complex advertising. The arrival of the Macintosh killed the typesetting industry, so I switched to non-profit fundraising. In the early 90s, I upgraded my computer skills to become a network administrator. Next, I provided training to job seekers, helping them find new careers. Then I changed careers myself, first helping homeowners find quality, local contractors - and then becoming a real estate agent.

I love computers, and use both Macintosh and Windows platforms. I'm skilled enough to create this web site, flyers, and postcards. I'm an exceptional photographer, taking photos of people, pets, houses, and scenery. (I took every photo on this web site, except the one of me.) As an avid hiker, I walk hundreds of miles each year in the East Bay Hills. My other interests include comedy improvisation, travel, and listening to live music (especially singer-songwriters doing folk, jazz, and blues).
